Sowthistles take a long time to die back following an application of glyphosate

Clopyralid is very effective when applied post-emergence to actively growing weeds. By this time, however, the weed has already been competing with the crop for light, nutrient and moisture. This competition can be avoided by a much earlier pre-emergence application of 2.9 l/ha Stomp Aqua.

Alternatively, 3 l/ha Picona or 4 l/ha Crystal can provide moderate control when applied pre-emergence of the weed.
