ALLSTAR®

2020 results with Hummingbird

Since ALLSTAR® was launched in 2018 conditions around potato planting have been very kind and anything that has slowed emergence has had minimal visibility. However, differences have been present even when they have not been seen.

Working with Hummingbird Technologies in 2020 has given a different angle on the crop, an angle that has shown crop differences to be measured even when no differences could be seen when walking into the field.

In 2020 ourselves and Hummingbird Technologies worked with agronomists
and farmers with split fields of ALLSTAR® and azoxystrobin.

Applications were made using the in-furrow applicators on the farm by the grower. Sites were monitored and overflown with drones,
as the crops emerged and developed to full canopy.

Differences were difficult to see on the ground, with potato crops well known for being difficult to see subtle effects especially as crops progress through stem elongation. However, differences were present and possible to be seen when over the crop.

Sites were sample dug for size grading concluding:

By using ALLSTAR® reduction in waste and increase in grade out gives the average maincrop grower real value:
